Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology visits Bangladesh Cable Industry Limited in Shiromani

‎‎Today, 16-6-26 (Tuesday), the Honorable Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Mr. Fakir Mahbub Anam MP, visited Bangladesh Cable Industry Limited in Shiromani, Khulna.

‎During the inspection, the Minister visited various production units of the factory and exchanged views with the officials and employees. During this time, he inquired in detail about the factory's production activities, current capacity, market expansion and future plans.

‎Exchanging views with journalists after the factory inspection, the Minister said that Bangladesh Cable Industry Limited is playing an important role in the development of the country's information technology and telecommunication sector. The company must maintain the quality of its products and meet domestic demand as well as create a competitive position in the international market.

In response to a question from journalists, he said that necessary steps will be taken to quickly resolve the complications related to product orders. The government is working sincerely to overcome the related crisis and turn the institution into a more dynamic and profitable institution.

He also said that modernization and increase in production of state-owned industrial institutions is one of the government's priorities. Bangladesh Cable Industry Limited will be further strengthened with up-to-date technology and skilled manpower, so that the institution can make an effective contribution to the country's infrastructure development and digital transformation.
