Is the reward for honesty just harassment?

Is the reward for honesty just harassment? ADC Mahmuda is in fear of being transferred despite saving Tk 3,000 crore!
Mahmuda Begum, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) of Narsingdi, is in big trouble after saving the state's Tk 3,000 crore from looting. She has now become the main target of influential circles due to the blocking of the bill of the corrupt syndicate. The Ministry of Public Administration has transferred her 3 times in just 25 days!
Mahmuda Begum joined as the ADC (Revenue) of Narsingdi in September 2025. Upon joining, she broke the stronghold of the brokers and corrupt syndicate that had formed in the land acquisition of the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway Development Project. She saved the state about Tk 3,000 crore by canceling the irregular compensation list prepared by previous officials and DCs.
Threats from influential circles and one transfer after another:
A powerful politician lobbied her to provide compensation in violation of the policy. If Mahmuda Begum directly said 'no', she was threatened and told - "You will see whether your power is greater or mine is greater."
She was transferred the very next day (April 27). After the news was published in the media, the transfer was postponed due to the intervention of Land Minister Md. Mizanur Rahman Minu, but after just 15 days, she was transferred again to the Food Ministry by an invisible thread. This honest official received a total of 3 transfer orders in the last 25 days!
It has been alleged that Md. Mostafa Monowar, the 30th BCS officer who was in charge before Mahmuda Begum and the current Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, spent two and a half months in Narsingdi, handing over a check of Tk 359 crore without paying attention to any rules and regulations, and took commissions of crores of Tk through a syndicate. Audio-video evidence and documents of this irregularity have already come to light. Currently, the Land Ministry is investigating it on the instructions of the Prime Minister's Office.
Land Minister Md. Mizanur Rahman Minu said that he has ordered to provide protection to this brave officer. Not only that, after learning about the matter, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman himself has ordered to provide necessary support to this honest officer and is monitoring the entire matter.
When a government officer saves crores of taka from the hands of thieves, why is he repeatedly transferred and harassed instead of being rewarded? If we want to build a corruption-free Bangladesh, it is the responsibility of the state to provide protection to brave and honest officers like Mahmuda Begum.
